Crafting Your Life Narrative

Welcome to Week #1 of the 9 Weeks To The Best You Series! For those that are new here and aren’t familiar with the series, this is my FREE 9 week countdown to the middle of the year, your prologue to your mid-year check-in. So often between January and mid-year we’ve either fallen off the wagon of building momentum towards our goals OR we were too busy at the beginning of the year to even start putting pen to paper on them. In either scenario this 9 week series is for you. It’s the place to get back on track so that when July rolls around you’re ready to make the most of the 2nd half of the year.

Week 1 is foundational for making the most of the series AND for getting your yearly planning on track. Whether you sat down at the beginning of the year to write down your goals OR if time is flying and this is your first opportunity to do so, IT DOESN’T MATTER.

What matters is that you’re taking the time right here, right now, to be INTENTIONAL and to take your big goals seriously. This week I have two super helpful worksheets for you.

Worksheet #1 - Your Tracker | This is your handy tool that you will use throughout the entirety of the 9 week series to write down your goals within each major area we will be covering off on. Save this worksheet somewhere easily accessible so that you can add to it often.

Worksheet #2 - Crafting Your Life Narrative | Are you ready to get started?! This is where we begin. This part is key to having a crystal clear vision of what you want your future to look like. It’s almost like having a crystal ball 🔮 but better because you don’t need a crystal ball to tell you what your future holds — you can create your future yourself!

I love this activity because it gets you to think of your entire life as a interconnected story that has all been working in your favor to craft you into the person you are today and who you will be tomorrow. It allows you to see how everything has happened FOR you instead of TO you. It illuminates how there aren’t disparate and random scenarios in your life, instead it ALL HAS MEANING.

Take your time and really think through this exercise. Throughout the week come back to it. This isn’t something that needs to be completed in a single setting. Coming back to it over the course of multiple days works best.

Once complete, hang on tight because we’ll be using all of your hard work to inform Week 2: What skills do you want to learn and master for this year.
